Located at 111 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94102, CIAORIGATO operates as an italian restaurant serving San Francisco in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under asian fusion restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 5–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach CIAORIGATO at (415) 969-6882; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, ciaorigato.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 198 reviews, which is a strong result for an italian restaurant in San Francisco and suggests consistent service.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My wife and I dined here and felt underwhelmed. The focacciapan (bread) was the best part of the dinner. The Tonno and Pesto sushi had absolutely no flavor to it, also the rice is way too thick around those rolls, something was off. The ciaorigatoni was okay, and the hanger steak tagarashi yuzu was mid. If the potatoes were crispy it would have elevated the plate a little. The service was great, the atmosphere was nice too….Overall, it’s not a place that we would dine at again.

Tried Ciaorigato for the first time β€” the interior is gorgeous and very Instagram-worthy, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to the price. Drinks were a big miss. I specifically asked for something not sweet (similar to an Old Fashioned), but the β€œRonan” cocktail was extremely sweet β€” almost like syrup. Service seemed a bit off in terms of drink knowledge, and slow. Food was not impressive: Itameshi Tagliere ($36++ for 2) Charcuterie board β€” nice presentation, decent but nothing special Tempura Misto Mediterraneo ($22++) β€” thick, oily batter, not really tempura, and please don't mislead your guests. Okonomiyaki pizza ($26++) β€” overly sweet and didn’t resemble okonomiyaki Uni Tagliatelle ($32++) β€” the best dish among all we ordered, but still just average Service was okay but slow despite the restaurant not being busy. We did receive a complimentary tiramisu, which was a nice gesture. Overall: great decor, but overpriced for the quality of food and drinks. Not a place I’d return to. Ciao!

Had a lovely dinner here with friends and Ciaorigato did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food is innovative Italian-japanese fusion and our server (Dejan) was fantastic treated us very well. We ordered an appetizer special, salad, squid ink pizza, and the rigatoni Bolognese with Shitake mushrooms which was a highlight for me. It was so good that we almost ordered another portion and I thought of this specific dish the rest of the week! The squid ink pasta was ok for me, but my friend enjoyed it more. Dejan, our server, also recommended that we must try the sesame tiramisu, and helped us pick a couple great bottles of wine. Excellent service! We'll absolutely visit again!

Came to the restaurant while visiting San Francisco for the first time. The fusion of food was truly something I had never seen before, we were so intrigued by everything in the menu. We tried the wagyu carpaccio, two rolls (the fungi and tartufo and another tuna roll). We had the ciarigatoni pasta and the hanger steak and ended with a sesame tiramisu. Everything was truly so delicious, tasty and innovative. However, the service was not up to par. Our server (whose name I don’t know because she never introduced herself) seemed lost and all over the place. We had to flag her down a couple times to order our food and even though we gave her a card when we first arrived to avoid the check coming to the table because it was my mom’s birthday. She, however, still managed to bring the the check to the table and left us with the toast tabletβ€” When we reminded her about the card, she didn’t even mind to excuse herself for the mistake. Tony, was our busser, and if he wasn’t for him, we would have had an awful experience truly. He was so attentive to us, recommended us dishes, made conversation with us and gave us the service that our actual server did not provide.

My pictures look great don’t they? Well, that’s NOT how the food tasted. The food was average at best. The tempura was salty, and the batter was too thick. And the Japanese curry noodles were so dry and tasteless that I felt my throat was hurting swallowing. The only thing that was acceptable was the rigatoni - but again standard Italian flavor that one can make at home. Other dishes might be better, hope you try other ones. Just not the curry noodles or the tempura. Vastly disappointing.
